Mobi files are for older kindle readers. New kindle e-readers and other e-book readers use epub files. You only need to download the file to your hard drive, then connect your e-reader to your computer and load the file there.
Alternatively, if you have a kindle or a kindle app, you can send it directly to your device. Here's how:
- On Amazon, click Account & Settings and select Content & Devices.
- Click Preferences.
- Scroll down to Personal Document Settings.
- Enable Personal Document Archiving.
- Add your email address as an approved sender.
- Scroll up and highlight and copy your @kindle.com email address.
- Forward the epub file to your @kindle.com email address (mobi files don't work here anymore).
Amazon should deliver the books to your Kindle Library within 5-10 minutes.
Amazon will reply with a rejection message if they have a hiccup or if the file is bad. If you receive a rejection message from Amazon, try forwarding the email again to see if it was just a hiccup.
If Amazon sends a second rejection email, please contact us! We may be able to fix what is wrong or upload a new copy of the book.
